Architectural Designer

The Mulhern Group (TMG) is a mid-size architectural firm located near the 16th Street Mall in Denver. We work with the private sector on a broad range of project types including retail, multi-family, senior living, and data centers to name a few. We perform work for clients both locally and nationally working closely with our communities to create engaging spaces for people.

Our strong client base developed over the past 35 years leads to repeat work allowing our team to engage in all facets of the development process. The variety of work allows our employees to constantly expand their knowledge of building types and engage in new opportunities.

TMG is seeking an “Architectural Designer” to help develop projects by preparing and presenting design ideas using a variety of mediums and effective communication. A candidate applying for the position will possess the following skills:

  • Ability to take an expressed design concept/idea and prepare designs for master planning and urban planning; including, but not limited to, site plans with buildings to present to clients and to community groups.
  • Ability to create and develop design ideas and present them in a media appropriate to the task within the given budget and timeline.
  • Ability to prepare quick design concept studies that explore various solutions or design approaches.
  • Ability to generate quick master plans or site plans that respond to programmatic and zoning requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate with a Client, Principal, or others to achieve the intended design.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with strong communication and organizational skills.

We are seeking a passionate candidate who is enthusiastic about design, architecture, the creative process, and a team approach to design.

Proficiency with some of the following programs is recommended but not required, we will train as needed:

  • AutoCAD
  • Bluebeam
  • Lumion
  • PhotoShop
  • Studio 3D Max
  • Revit
  • Rhino
  • SketchUp
