Architect II / Architectural Staff II

The Mulhern Group, Ltd. (TMG) is located in Denver with a rich history of working closely with clients to create engaging, award winning spaces. The variety of work allows our employees to constantly expand their knowledge of building types and brings new challenges and interest as they move between projects.

We are currently looking to fulfill a position of a Senior Job Captain or Project Architect capable of running their own projects with little assistance from the Project Manager. Our office has a variety of skills and experience in which collaboration is essential for successful projects.

Emerging Architect/Job Captain – Your Role:

  • Work independently guiding your team and assisting them in completing the construction documents.
  • Lead meetings with contractors and consultants.
  • Review and coordinate drawing sets with consultants to ensure your program and these documents align.
  • Attend site visits, review Submittals and RFI’s, and teaching and guiding younger staff.

What You Bring:

  • Professional degree in Architecture from an NAAB accredited school.
  • Experience leading projects having served, at a minimum, successfully as a Job Captain, on your own projects. An understanding of the process and how to run a project.
  • Proficient knowledge of building codes is required.
  • Knowledge of building sciences, experience with observing multiple projects under construction, and ability to clearly convey what in a detail works and what does not work to your team.
  • Proficiency in Revit is recommended not required; but  we can  teach you. Everyone at TMG from the top down is expected to understand and use Revit.

A license is not required but we support all architect candidates and assist with study material as well as provide reimbursement for all passed exams.

Along with your resume and cover letter, please include work samples, a portfolio, or a project list with project name, address/city, size, construction type and contractor or developer. Make sure to include a valid/current email address as well as telephone number. If your portfolio is on-line, such as Issuu or Dropbox, please verify that the website is functioning and includes your current contact information.

We understand the need for balance in all our lives for both those in an office setting, and those electing to work remotely. In the beginning we ask new employees to work in the office for training. In time, and upon satisfactory training, we allow working from home up to two days a week.
